Spotify 5.0.0.0 released for Windows Phone 8. New UI!

Finally, Spotify released a new version today with the same look and feel like Android/iOS

I unsubscribed from premium 3 days ago when I went from android to WP and saw how abysmal the app was. This won me back! The only thing more I could want is Cortana support which I hear the API for that is easy.

I actually wanted to resume my premium but after a few minutes it was clear that changes were only cosmetic - all old annoying bugs are still there.

My known issues:

1) When browsing music/albums, there is only big green "Shuffle play" button. Who the f*beep* thought that only way we want to listen to albums is shuffle? We need "Play this album" button, Jesus!

EDIT: I got reply for this "The only one I disagree with is the #1 because under the shuffle button is the first song of the album which tapping that would do the same as "Play Album". On a small screen it would be a waste of space I think."

Well, in my case, tapping on the first song makes only a silence. It does not start playing.

EDIT2: It works! You have to completely close and restart app, then there is about 60% probability that it will start playing! What a wonderful feature! Jesus!

EDIT3: And if it works, it starts playing that first song from album, then all old queue from yesterday follows and at the end there is rest of the songs from desired album. I'm just laughing now. This app si so sad it makes me desperately laugh. 

2) Offline music switch is missing everywhere but in "My music" section. When I browse music, pick album, I can "Save" it to my library, but not to make it available offline. I have to go to "My music" section after that, where is exactly the same album page but now with offline switch. Don't hide it from us, we don't want to search it in submenus, Jesus!

3) Play queue is still the worst part of the whole app. Cannot clear it. Manually switching to the last song clears all the songs before, but the last song remains hanging there. This is kind of connected with my issue #1 - while there is nothing like "Play this album" but only "queue", adding it to queue, which is mess. Adding "Play this album" button should work like 'clear the queue and add this album there, sorted from the first song to the last'. If I want to listen to the album despite previously played music, there is practilay no way to do that.

4) If I start Spotify app from scratch, there is no way how do I enter playing queue, though it's still full of songs. So if I wanna play album, I have to pick it, add to the queue, then it starts playing and I can enter queue from there. Then I can clear the queue full of songs from yesterday by switching to the last song. Finally, I can listen to the album by searching it and adding to queue again. And you have to be lucky not to see this:

Jesus f*beep* Christ, can't you see how ridiculous this queue behaviour is? What is wrong with you guys?

5) When I finally manage to add a single one album to the queue (I am not sure how I did it), I can't skip to previous track I liked and want to listen again. All previously played songs immidiately disappears. Jesus Christ!

6) There is GAP between played songs. My God!

😎 Transparent Live Tile - We have beautiful accent colors or custom backgrounds on our phones. We don't want to see that ugly green/grey combo. It's almost a year since this is part of Windows Phone OS.

Yes there is an Extreme bit rate which is 320kbps and requires premium

Yeah, that is improvement, if Extreme 320 kbps is now available on app.

But I belive this app is only new look, with all these bugs and some new as bonus... They should work harder!

ah that's unfortunate, well it's been working for me, and that's how it's been on android.

It's funny that they overhauled everything and neglected to update the little tile though

Apparently the synchronization of local files will only be seen in a couple of three years, as are slow on windows phone, do not understand the difficulty of adding this function. Soon this that Spotify is a gap.
