Spotify Connect & Yamaha RX-V775

Spotify Connect & Yamaha RX-V775

Hey guys,

I'm having trouble getting Spotify Connect to work with my Yamaha RX-V775,

I simply cannot connect to it from the Android app - the icon to choose the receiver as

an output device does not show up.

The receiver is on the same network as my Nexus 5 & Nexus 7 and has the Spotify Connect enabled

firmware (I can select Spotify as an input option). Both the phone and the tablet 'see' the receiver as

controlling it with the Yamaha app does work flawlessly. I tried resetting/rebooting the receiver as

suggested in other threads but that did not help either.

I'm on Android 4.4.2 and Spotify version 0.7.6.343 with both devices, the receiver is on FW 1.46.

Any clues?

I do believe Spotify Connect on android is still rolling out, so its not enabled on all accounts yet. It might just be a case of waiting for the Connect icon to appear I'm afraid.

If you tap on the now playlng bar, the speaker icon doesn't show in album cover view?

Nope, no speaker icon to be seen..

(I know that it's supposed to show up right next to the >> icon on the album cover view)

@Peter:

Is there any way to confirm that my Apps not being enabled yet is the problem?
