Spotify Connect unreliable connection from my account

I can not seem to get a reliable spotify connect - connection with other devices with my account. 


Most of the times there is no connection at all, and the music plays on my Android mobile or iOS device only. Sometimes the device starts playing on my spotify connect receiver and I can no longer control it from my mobile or iOS device.


This is very annoying, tried resetting everything several times, but a reliable connection is just not possible. My partner, with his own spotify account within the family does not have this problem. What can I do?

Hey @ollestolte, help's here.

Try restarting all your devices (and speakers/receivers). Also, make sure that:

  • All devices are on the same WiFi network.
  • You reinstall the app.
  • All devices’ softwares are up-to-date. If you don't know, check with your devices' manufacturers for how to update the version software.
  • If possible, try switching between different networks and see if that helps.
