Spotify Web Player not loading

Spotify Web Player not loading

Hi,

I recently discovered Spotify web player, and I find it very useful and convienient. Recently, I have been going to the web player site, and the screen, for the past week, has been showing up as black blank screen, with only the logo on the upper left hand corner. I have tried removing cookies from my google chrome settings, and I have read that it is an issue with google, but is there any other way you could suggest about how I could fix this issue?

Hi there,

Have you tried using a different browser? Going to the web player on incognito mode can be helpful, too!

If you're still having trouble, you can reinstall the Adobe Flash from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

look in the right of the url bar (next to the favorite/bookmark icon) if you are using google chrome.

It should say something like "do you want to enable flash player" click it and select enable then finish.

had the same problem hope this helps.

Hi @vaidehi_desai_

Have you tried these steps?

1.  Go into Chrome -> Settings -> Show Advanced Settings.

2.  Scroll to Privacy and click Content Settings...

3.  Scroll to Plug-ins and choose "Let me choose when to run plugin content".

4.  While on the same screen, click Manage Exceptions.

5.  Under Hostname Pattern, enter "https://play.spotify.com" (no quotes)

6.  For that entry, click the "Allow" behavior.

7.  Click "Done" twice and exit settings.  Then click whatever link that launches Spotify in Chrome.

Hope it helps.

Hi @vaidehi_desai_

Alternatively, you may also try this:

  1. Open up chrome
  2. Navigate to chrome://plugins.
  3. Make sure Adobe Flash is enabled and "Always allowed to run".

I've tried it myself and it worked for me. Hope it helps you too 🙂
