Spotify app won't download from kindle appstore

I see the spotify app when in the appstore on my kindle, but it will not download.  I removed and rebooted kindle, but still no download.  This seemed to happen when I signed into Spotify on a new smart TV.

Before deleting Spotify, the app said I was in offline mode or something like that.

This sounds like an issue from the Kindle side. Can you share a screen recording or screenshot of the error you are getting while trying to install the Spotify app? Usually, if the issue is with the app store you need to log out and log in again in the kindle account in the app store which tends to fix most basic issues.
