Spotify changes playlist when skipping songs

My Question or Issue

When listening on my Pixel 7 with Skullcandy earbuds if I skip a song with the earbud controls the playlist will change at random to another playlist. I have tried a clean install multiple times, formatted my phone, turned off auto play, and ensured smart shuffle is turned off.

It's an odd behavior that you're experiencing and good job for already testing with some troubleshooting steps. It's really helpful.

Could you let us know if this happens only via the earbuds' controls or even if you've connected them to your phone and then try to progress to the next song with your phone controls within Spotify?

It'd be very helpful (if it's possible to test this) if you could connect the earbuds to a relative's or a friend's phone to see if the same behavior would persist there.

Problem solved. I realized that my earbuds settings were set to use Spotify Tap instead of next song. Now that settings are changed it is working correctly.
