Spotify connect doesn't make a connection with any of my devices

Since yesterday Spotify Connect doen't work anymore on any of my devices. We're using the next set up:

  • Denon HEOS Link
  • apps on iPad air 2, iPad mini and Samsung S4, Asus laptop en iMac
  • Fritzbox 7490 router
  • Premium account

The connect button does show up (grey) and the HEOS also shows up. But their is no connection made. Until yesterday everything worked just fine. No changes were made in my network setup. Strangely none of my other devices (iMac and laptop) show up. Which they did before.

 

Things we tried so far:

  • uninstall and reinstall Spotify
  • Turned off/on the HEOS Link.
  • Switch off/on my router.

What could be the problem?

Well, everything works fine again. Nothing changed in my settings but somehow the connection was back. I read somewhere that there is a limit of three devices that can be logged in at the same time. Maybe that was the issue, not quite sure though.

I have the same problem, with my SONY STR dn1050: today is not possible to use Spotify Connect, with any device (MAC, Android Phone and Tablet)

Same here, not working any more.  Device is visible but when I click on it to connect, nothing happens.  What gives?  I tried with the beta and the normal desktop version...

 

I have the same problem. I'm using Spotify version 1.0.4.90.g0b6df40b on my windows8 PC and version 3.0.0.2566 on my iPad. The do see my Rocki play but will not connect. 

Ditto.  I've been using Spotify Connect without any issues for months on my Sony STR-DN850, controlling it with either the spotify app on either my macbook or on my iphone.  No issues whatsoever until a week ago: since then, I've the Sony shows up as an option in Spotify Connect, but it fails to actually make the connection when I click on it.  Is this a problem with Spotify Connect?  Please help!

Well, everything works fine again. Nothing changed in my settings but somehow the connection was back. I read somewhere that there is a limit of three devices that can be logged in at the same time. Maybe that was the issue, not quite sure though.

Same here, Denon Ceol N9 together with iPad Air.
Spotify Connect since update 3.0 has issues for me

I was using CEOL N9 for one week. And today ist happend.

If i use Spotify app from Windows 8 or from Andoid device then my CEOL N9 and i put voice transmission on DENON device then is stuck. Network connection on CEOL N9 is not available any more. I have to restart denon, and after viem mintues connection is restored.

Is there any solutionfor this? I wonder if i should send my device to DENON servis?

I was trying to restore to defaults but it not helps.

 

Any idea what i can do?

 

 

Seems to be a general issue for Denon Martanz receivers and Spotify Connect since yesterday.

So i call my local DENON dealer and i describe them what happends.

They said that i can come and they will change my CEOL N9 to new one. So i went to DENON shop and they give me New CEOL N9.

I came to my house and... i was able to open Spotify CONNECT only once. When i try second time, screen on my CEOL N9 freeze.

 

@dash you wrote that this is global issue. Do you have the same problem? How do you know that?

Global issue, seems so. I am in Sweden (where Spotify comes from). As I understand people report problems in France, Canada and more places. Please write the country you are in... Then we can see if this is a global issue.

Seems that Spotify has someting changed with this handy system.

"21/8/2015: RESOLVED: Network music playback stops after 10 seconds

 

 

In the time from the 18th to the 20th of August, selected units stopped playback during USB, favorite and media server playback after 10 seconds. This occurred due to an erroneous response to a standardised server request. We fixed this issue in the morning of the 21st August and you should once again be able to fully enjoy music from all network sources. We apologise for any inconvenience this caused to you."

 

 

I'm using Denon Ceol RCD-N9.

 

Looks like it might be this issue but why the heck they wrote 'resolved'?

Did you receive any firmware update since last two days?

I didn't receive anything new.

 

Regaerding DENON statement, there is any word about Spotify Connect.

Propably they prepared some kind of fix, but it also spoil something else.

 

 

I'm having the same problem with my Denon X3100 and X4100. I'm in the USA.
