Spotify defaults to US region

Spotify defaults to US region

I'm British (my account has UK as my country)
I missed a payment so I get the red banner on the Spotify app (Chromebook) asking me to upgrade to premium again. I click upgrade and the site I am directed to on web is

Even when signed in to a UK account all hyperlinks default to the US site, even when I type it redirects.
The only way for me to upgrade is to go to the region at the very bottom of the footer (tiny letters) and click USA and change to UK.

The Spotify site _should_ redirect you to your own region when logged in, especially if you are looking to upgrade subscription.

Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community. 


Just to confirm, are you using any VPNs? If so, we suggest that you turn it off before trying to upgrade to Premium. 


On another note, could you check if the same happens on a different device or using a different internet connection as well?
