Spotify erases family plan after unsuccessful payment!

This week we had a baby, and as you can imagine, it has been a very busy time. Amidst all the chaos, I missed my Spotify payment, and as the account holder of the family plan, the entire plan was erased! I quickly made the payment, but the damage was done—my family plan was gone for good. I had to go through the unnecessary hassle of creating a new plan and re-inviting my family members. Is this supposed to be an additional punishment?

Spotify, do you think wiping out a customer’s family data is an appropriate response to a missed payment? Whose idea was it to implement this? Do you seriously believe that forcing users to reassemble their family plan and re-enter details like addresses will somehow motivate them to be better customers? This kind of user punishment does nothing but breed frustration and dissatisfaction.

As a paying customer, I’m left questioning the value you place on us. This ordeal has been enough to make me reconsider my subscription altogether. It’s absurd that companies like Spotify still operate with such disregard for their users and continue to profit from it.
