Hey there @borat23 and @Fatimaddp,

Thank you for your posts. We're happy to help.

Can you confirm if the issue still persists? We recommend you to do the same as @borat23 mentioned - to unplug your echo dot and then plug it in again.

Also - can you let us know if you experience this with one device or more devices?

Keep us posted. We'll have an eye open for your reply.

Cheers!

Hi,

Thanks for your reply I follow all the troubleshooting steps but nothing help, disconnect, unlink the account nothing help.

I have 2 different Echo device, the issue is only with Echo dot (old one) with another Echo device I don't have any problem.

Maybe it is an old version of the device?

Thanks

Hey @aaltaras,

Thanks for keeping us posted 🙂

Can you check if the device firmware is up-to-date? It's important that your device is up to speed with any software updates available.

It's also a good idea to restart the router and to try again.

Keep us in the loop! We'll be right here if you have any further questions.

Hi,

when asking Alexa to play some song from Spotify it keeps saying "To play Spotify enable the skill and link your account"

Can you try to you try to log in with another account - such as a friend's or a family member's to see if the issue persists?

Also - can you check the device is set in the right region?

@Jeremy I am having the same issue and tried the troubleshooting noted in this thread. I get the same Alexa response when I ask it to play Spotify “ To play Spotify enable the skill and link your account". This is occurring with 2 Echo Dots 4th gen.

Hey @Cinderfallai

Thanks for getting in touch about this here in the Community 🙂

Could you log in with a friend's account to check if the issue persists with that account?

Also, would you mind trying it with a different internet connection?

Cheers - let us know how it goes!
