Spotify on Windows Phone 10 no longer working after anniversary update

After updating to Windows 10 anniversary update for mobile, Spotify refuses to play music. I can search for music, but when I try to play something the app freezes.

I've tried to reinstall the app with little result.

Any ideas are welcome. I was thinking about a full factory reset of the phone.

Don't do it. Spotify stopped working for me only after I did a full factory reset of my 640XL

edit: apparently restarting the phone worked for me, have you tried that? 😕

Restarting worked for me too but after a few days it goes bananas again.

Maybe we'll get an update that will fix it in the next 6-9 months if we're lucky.
