Spotify play counts when streamed via Sonos

I have previously asked this question (https://community.spotify.com/t5/Other-Partners-Web-Player-etc/Spotify-play-counts-when-streamed-via...) but can't post any follow up since the topic has been closed.

It still does look like tracks played on Sonos (even via Spotify Connect) are not recorded and don't have any impact on personal recommendations, mix tapes etc.

Is this correct? Probably 90% of the time I use Spotify it's via Sonos, and I got the impressions my recommendations etc. are kinda off...

Is this every gonna change?
