Spotify playing other songs from my library in separate playlist

My Question or Issue

I just created a new playlist and was pretty excited to get listening to it. Instead of being able to do so, after every song, a different, unrelated one from my library plays. So it's essentially not a playlist, but just me picking one song after the other. I have 35 songs in this playlist so the 12 songs rule shouldn't be an issue.

P.S. Also tried to post this message earlier, and since I didn't (gasp!) choose a tag, my question and information was deleted. Pretty unhappy with the user experience, so this can also be a thread about recommended Spotify alternatives
