Spotify thinks my Local Files (both desktop and iphone) are unplayable!

Spotify thinks my Local Files (both desktop and iphone) are unplayable!

I am quite frustrated.

1) The artist I want to listen to has minimal tracks on Spotify (which I understand happens).

2) When I import my local tracks of this artist into the desktop app and then sync to my iPhone, Spotify tells me it's unplayable (due to #1 above)

The only partial solution I have found is to tell my iPhone/desktop app that the playlists with the local files are "Available Offline" -- and even then a few of the tracks are STILL unplayable (even though they are local).

I bought and paid for this music, they are physically on my iPhone as I used Spotify to sync them, and Spotify should not be telling me that I cannot listen to files that I own.

How can we [Spotify] fix this?

thank you.
