My Question or Issue

Situation:

Music plays on my laptop or browser. I scroll widgets on my smartwatch to Spotify one. It automatically starts connecting to my smartphone. The smartphone unlocks on it's own, starts Spotify app, switches to car mode and starts playing music, while music on my laptop stops.

There are two moments. In my opinion:

1. The phone shouldn't switch playing device to itself.

2. The phone shouldn't wake up and unlock - it can do terrible things after that if it's in pocket. Probably the app shouldn't open either, just start a syncing service in background, probably a player notification.

Hey @steel835,

Thanks for getting in touch with us and welcome to the Community 🙂

This doesn't sound right and we'd suggest that being by restarting your phone. If that doesn't help, you can check these steps and run a clean reinstall. It's also a good idea to reinstall the app on the watch.

Tip: You can play music on one device at the time. That's why the music stop playing on the laptop, when it is being played on another device.
