Support for Portrait Mode on Spotify's APP on Samsung's The Frame TV's

Please update the Spotify app for vertical layout/Portrait mode on Samsung's The Frame TV. This is the perfect solution for audio streaming from Spotify through a High Fidelity Setup. Bought a Samsung The Frame tv just to use with Spotify in Portrait Mode. Rip Haha. Hope this is under development. Cheers

Hi there @_859y-izmjq7t,

Thanks for reaching out!

Instead of using the Spotify app on your TV, can you try connecting the device you want to play music from to your TV via Bluetooth? You should be able to select your TV as an output. This will open the “Music Wall” on your TV and then you should be able to see the option “Play in Art mode”.

If that doesn't do the trick, it'd be great if you can attach some pictures or make a video of what you see on your TV so that we can have a closer look. If the file is too large to attach, you can upload it to Google Drive (make sure to allow general access to the file) or as an unlisted YouTube video

Let us know how it goes.

Agreed this need to be updated. The work around is not enough. This should not be complicated as it is the same aspect ratio as a phone. The app can check to see if the TV is in vertical mode and automatically adjust just like a phone. This is simple fix yet game changer for vertical mode

Hey @Anon12341,

Welcome to the Community and thank you for joining the thread.

We appreciate your feedback regarding this function for the Samsung TV. If you think other users would like to change the orientation of the app to portrait mode, we'd recommend posting it as an idea in our Idea Exchange board so it can start receiving votes to eventually reach the relevant teams.

We'd also recommend taking our guidelines into account before posting it to avoid any early rejections.

If anything else comes up, the Community will be here for you.
