Switching Distributors

Hi All!

I'm an artist and have 8 songs on Spotify (under the band name Morning Wars.) I've been using the same distributor for the past 3 years but now I'm in the process of switching to a different distribution company.

From my understanding I'm supposed to re-upload my songs with the new distributor and then remove those songs from the old distributor.

My question is how long do I wait to remove my songs from my old distributor/will my playcounts and playlist placements stay the same? (All the metadata is identical.)
