Hi,
I'm using Spotify Connect via an Amazon TV Stick, connected to an Onkyo AV receiver via HDMI.
Recently I switched from a 1st generation stick (1GEN) to a 2nd generation stick (2GEN).
I can easily connect from my mobile phone (Samsung S7) to both TV sticks via the Spotify app. However, streaming via the TV Stick 2GEN only works when I (briefly) switch on the TV, which is also connected to the AV receiver.
With my old Amazon TV Stick 1GEN I didn't had to turn on the TV?
Why does Spotify Connect on my 2GEN now needs a TV connection before it starts playing music on the AV receiver?

PS. My brand new 3rd gen Stick bahaves the same as the 2nd gen Stick.

Hey,
I don't think it has something to do with Spotify app itself, but rather with HDMI-CEC protocol implementation on different FireTV generations.
