Unable to remove songs from Discover Weekly

I'm on the premium plan, using the Windows desktop app version of Spotify.  I'm trying to remove a song from my Discover Weekly playlist, since it's been there before and I didn't think much of it the first time.  The button to do this has been removed.  I can find old posts explaining where it is, and it's not there any more.  How do I remove this song from my playlist?

Unfortunately, on the android app, although the 'don't play this song' button (now a big X next to the like button) is available and correctly shows me that it's been selected, it doesn't actually stop the song from being played on the playlist. If I click it it skips the song if it's playing, but next listen it will play it again (although it will now show the X as red, and will tell me it's excluded from the list - while playing it.. please fix!

I can confirm this. As of yesterday I noticed that hidden songs were not
being skipped on subsequent replays of the list.

What the **bleep** is the problem with Spotify? There is no dislike button anywhere. ANYWHERE. I can "hide from playlist" which is STUPID AND POINTLESS.

JUST DO WHAT PEOPLE WANT. IF THERE IS NO DISLIKE BUTTON WITHIN A MONTH, I WILL CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION PERMANENTLY!!!

THIS IS EMBARRASSING.

It's actually insane how forced everything is

You are 100% correct, my friend! I used the "Hide" button on a number of songs on this weeks Discover Weekly, and lo and behold, even though they are marked as HIDDEN, they still play. See image below. I marked songs #4 and #6 as HIDDEN but they still play:

Spotify, your app is **bleep**. You said this was fixed, but it's not. How do your developers and programmers look at themselves in the mirror? You quality control is abysmal!

It's not back for me, bit frustrating, can't really curate the Discover Weekly anymore due to this change.

It's gone for me too. Driving me INSANE.

Yeah, I cancelled my subscription, and I encourage all of you to do it too. The CEO literally just invested $700,000,000 in a company that makes autonomous murder robots. I wish I was joking.

There is no reason to support this terrible company that creates an awful, user-hostile app, doesn't pay the artists adequately, creates awful AI music, and steals your personal information. They are bad people, and every month you enable them with your subscription.

Looks like the option to remove a track from Release Radar is gone again, got a new Windows desktop app version this morning to 1.2.73, maybe related. Not sure about Discover Weekly either.

Hey @hans-jürgen,

Thank you for letting us know!

Just to confirm - is the option to 'Hide song' fully missing for you?

If it has disappeared for you after the latest version, clear your cached data by following the steps here and log out of the app and back in twice in a row to trigger a manual sync of your settings and data.

Let us know if this makes any difference. We'll be on the lookout 🙂

Hi Vasil, thanks for your reply. Hovering the track in the Release Radar list still shows the minus sign to hide it, and closing the desktop app and opening it again brought back the minus sign in the playbar, too. So I am able to hide unwanted tracks in Release Radar again. 👍

@Vasil: Thought I already replied yesterday, but my reply is not visible anymore. Anyhow, the minus sign is also available when hovering the track in the list of Release Radar, and it came back in the playbar when I restarted the new desktop app the next day.
