Unable to switch to different Spotify account on Samsung Galaxy Watch

My Question or Issue

I've recently switched to the Spotify Family subscription and want to switch which Spotify account my galaxy watch uses.  Eg Log off from "Account A" and logon with "Account B". 

I launch the Spotify App on the watch, Click Settings, Click Log Out (of Account A). 

When I go back into the Spotify App, Click Playback, Click Standalone, the app says "logging in" and logs into Account A automatically.   I don't get the option to enter the user name and password for "Account B"  

I've checked Spotify app on my phone(where the Galaxy Wear app is installed) and confirmed its logged into "Account B".

Could you give these steps a go and unlink your account? Then you can try linking the second one.

 

In case you get an error message, you can send us a screenshot of it. We'll look into this further.

Hey there @derryng,

 

Thank you for your post here in the Community. We're happy to help.

 

Can you uninstall Spotify and then reinstall Spotify on the watch to see if the issue persist?

 

If that doesn't do the trick, make sure you're running the latest version of the devices.

Hi @Jeremy, 

 

I did what you advised, I uninstalled the app from the watch. 

I rebooted the watch. 

I installed the spotify app again and it automatically logged into the same account.   I was not given the option to enter a different username/password.  

What do you suggest we try next?

Thanks so much it worked. Unlinking the account from Samsung has worked. 

When I launched the Spotify app on the watch it logged into the same account (account B) as the app on the phone is logged into.
