Web player can't connect

Web player can't connect

So the spotify web player can't connect. It just says connecting to spotify but nothing ever happens. I have tried to clear my cache and my cookies and even logged in while in incognito mode (chrome) but nothing worked. Anybody got any ideas?

 

Edit: So apparently I had to delete cache + cookies and restart my pc to get the web player to work again. Other than that there are no problems

Hi @ælling, thanks for reaching out to the Community for help.

 

If you’re having trouble with the Web Player, try the following:

 

  1. Open play.spotify.com in a different browser (if you’re on Internet Explorer, try Chrome for example).
  2. Open play.spotify.com in a private browsing session. 
    If this works, it means you need to clear your cache/cookies. Please refer to your browser’s help section for instructions.
  3. Reinstall Flash from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
  4. Sign in as a different Spotify user. 
  5. Connect to the site over a different network.

If another network works okay, check the firewall settings of the first network to make sure Spotify isn’t blocked.
