My Question or Issue
As of recently, whenever I switch between my phone and google home mini or vice versa, whatever playlist I am listening to starts back from the beginning. This happens on regular playlists, a song radio, daily mix etc. It used to pick up where it left off, so it seems like something changed recently.
I’m not sure why but there was another post that involved queues repeating without device switching and it got merged into this
There are a few quirks I have noticed with this issue that may help find a solution. I listen for several hours each day at around the same time and the Playlist tends to add songs back in around the 3rd day of listening to songs or about 48 hours after the initial play. The issue never seems to trigger on the first day of listening. The Playlist needs to be fairly large to trigger, but I have had it happen with Playlists as low as 600 songs. It normally triggers after a full close of the app, however I have gotten it to trigger after adding songs into the queue as well. Also, if I remove songs from the queue, those end up getting shuffled back to the top sooner, normally about a full day before the glitch normally occurs. So my guess is it has to do with the sessions function, as it seems to add all of the songs from your previous session back to the top.
It was fine for a few days, not quite as it should have been, but it was fine. But with the new update, it went back to how it was.
