When do I know if my song is in an editorial playlist?

Today (26th October) I sent a song for playlist consideration. Will I know if (if!) the song was accepted only on the day that it comes out (that should be the 2nd December) or in the same moment that it gets actually and eventually accepted? And how would I get informed, by mail or should I check my Spotify for artists app?
