also struggling with this - as you edit your preferences they dupe you into accepting unnecessary tracking cookies. Cannot find where to reset cookies in the app

Spotify this was not helpful at all. WHERE ARE THE COOKIES SETTINGS FOR THE APP
I have rejected all cookies several times but the app keeps asking me. Stop trying to trick me into accepting them, I pay for this service.
This is not helpful. This redirects to cookie policy of Spotify. What we want is where to locate cookie settings on Android, iOS and desktop version to disable them. You know it and misdirect us. This is business malpractice and you know that too. So how about you you provide the information we want??!!
Please provide a solution for disabling cookies. the answers in this thread are not satisfactionary, and by EU law you should provide a solution to turn off not necessary cookies
Hey there folks,
Thank you for posting in this thread.
We wanted to point out that the policies may differ between countries. The Cookie Policy page here should auto detect your country and there, you can find the most accurate info on how to adjust your preferences depending on your market.
For example, in the UK and in the EEA our users have the right to interact with our cookie banner/CMP (Consent Management Platform) which is reachable through the Cookie Settings option in our Spotify.com footer, but that could differ in other places in the world. That's why we recommend checking out the mentioned page.
Don't hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.
That's a non-answer.
Where in the app can (a EU) user remove the tracking after having accepted the cookies in error? Please show us!
Or will we get the reminder every few days or so even after accepting? Somehow, I expect not.
This is unfair. You keep asking (twice a week minimum) our in-app cookies policy preferences. So easy to accept by mistake but then impossible to revert our choice in app.
also, when asked about more info (i.e. this thread) we have to scroll through a wall of text hoping to find the country-tailored way to access our cooky settings. Sure you are complying with EU regulation?
This thread really confuses me. I have the same problem: cookie popups every couple of days until I click 'accept' by accident, and then it seems to be gone forever. Where are these settings? You seem to be deliberately obscuring them, Spotify. Can you please provide us with a clear answer?
I am in the Netherlands by the way. The EU regulations are very strict on this point, and the way the app handles this does not seem to comply. Can we get a reasonable response, instead of pointing to a pile of documentation?
I also live in the Netherlands and this looks suspiciously like malpractice to me. Spotify has repeatedly served me with the cookie pop up until today when I accidentally pressed accept. Now there is no way to adjust my preferences after they got what they want? very shady practice
Spotify keeps not answering.
1) we don’t want to be bothered by continuous pop-ups asking to accept cookies, without giving the possibility to decline/reject, as to EU regulations. Spotify is NOT complying. And I rejected all the unnecessary cookies in the past: why does Spotify keep asking??? When that pop-up appears you can only accept or click on the link to open a page and lose other time. There’s no way to close it. I close Spotify and re-open it every single time. And all that to listen to only ONE podcast episode the 99% of the times.
2) if someone accepts by mistake and wishes to change, there’s no chance to find the place in the settings to do that. The only thing you can do is open the cookies page in Spotify website and change them there. Too intricate, it’s a loss of time.
Do you understand how boring and annoying is all that?
no way you can do that within the app, but if you click on the link the first moderator suggests and go at the point 3, there’s the link to the platform to manage the cookies. There you can change everything.
tricky and a huge loss of time, I know
This is misleading, the link present in the Cookies Policy is only for managing the cookies on the web browser, but not on the different apps (desktop, Android). I have 4 devices where I'm using Spotify and it keeps asking me for enabling the cookies every week (on each device), although I'm a premium user, so I won't have ads. Don't sell my data if I'm premium!
