Where is Spotify HiFi?

Where is Spotify HiFi?

The year is almost over and no HiFi in sight. No news. No communication. Nothing. What's going on? Some info would be nice.

enNicht nur nett, dringend erforderlich, um den guten Ruf nicht zu verlieren.

Music Aficionados,

I applaud the loyalty of those who stick to Spotify in 2023.

But it's kind of like loyalty to:

In the time when other services are offering you:

Spotify doesn't deserve your loyalty, or apparently care...

I switched to AM a few months ago. The lossless sound quality is leagues better than Spotify's, but their app isn't nearly as well-designed, and their algorithms need work. Spotify rules in those aspects.

I've pretty much given up hope for Spotify HiFi, I assume they're putting all their money into Joe Rogaine and other dumb chodes instead of focusing on music and musicians.

If Amazon Music natively integrated with Google Home, I would have left a long time ago.

Years later and still losing customers over this.

such a shame - promised so much and now bottom of the pile.

You don't have to remind Spotify every 5 years about this.

I'm now enjoying my second year on Amazon music listening in Ultra High Def losseless FLAC (24 bits, 192khz), and Atmos surround :).

On my Fire TV cube, l get to listen in Atmos across my 5.4.1 surround. Albums like the 2023 50th Anniversary of Dark Side of the Moon remastered in UHD and Atmos are glorious.

Was a long time Spotify subscriber, left because Spotify have no intention of releasing. Life on the other side is good 🙂

I use Tidal

Still waiting for Spotify HiFi, and I'm not the only one,

Glad this is being as advertised by the verge.

How on earth in 2024 we are still listening to worse than CD quality is crazy.

Not all of us are still listening to below CD quality  🙂

There are options...

Methinks they keep blowing their wad on Roe Jogan instead of giving more money per stream to artists and adding Hifi quality. Weird priorities.

It's been 3 years.

I wonder too

A couple of years later and still nothing. I have retained my Spotify account with vague hopes that a lossless subscription format will come up at some point. Look here: 320kb is the format of 2000s. The world, the competitors, the devices and customer expectations have moved on. Spotify risks being the Xerox of the streaming industry if people are old enough to understand the comment.

Spotify has the two main advantages: an excellent user experience that I am willing to pay for and a good cross platform integration, not to mention the Spotify Connect feature. A gap that is quickly being eroded by competitors. I am willing to pay my extra 5 dollars for a decent hifi tier that almost every other competitor offers currently.

Point being - I’ve switched to Amazon Unlimited that offers a hi-res audio stream for my Bluesound streamer and HIFI setup for a great price. Also it works on my Apple and Android devices for headphone listening. I know my music, so the algorithm is not particularly essential although I loved that feature. These things are important Spotify! Don’t be Apple with their stubborn resistance against integration with other vendors in the hifi segment. Tidal was great but expensive and lacks any significant quality difference over Amazon. Deezer is a strange product with slightly lower quality in terms of hifi. Qubuz has limited market presence. I’ve given them all a fair trial. Anyway - free advice for you guys.

Keeping my account and hopes alive.

We deserve loss less audio...

What's up Spotify? You are behind in sound quality... Might change to TIDAL
