Why does my music speed up as the longer I listen to music

After listening to music for a few hours it will speed up just a little and randomly go back to normal mostly after I have fully closed the app for a day or so

This is an interesting observation. Do you mind preparing a screen recording with sound, so we can fully understand what is going on on your end? We'd also need some device specific information like brand/model/operating system and the Spotify version you've installed on your phone.
