Why does songs pause after 1 second?

Songs stop playing after 1 second. Tried both on my mobile and my PC. Tried removing cache files, log out, change sound quality, changed wifi connection, turning off and on both devices. Is there something wrong with spotify for the moment?

It sounds like you've tried a couple of things already, but let's try some more troubleshooting.

You can start off by trying a clean reinstall of the app on the affected devices to make sure you have the latest version and that any outdated files are removed. Give your devices a quick restart as well before you open the newly installed app.
 

It's also a good idea to remove any apps or services that Spotify may be connected with or affected by and make sure your OS is up-to-date.

In case the issue persists, could you ask a friend or a family member to log in on your devices and test this out to see if they'll experience the same?
