Why won't spotify let me follow more personal profiles?

When I try to follow someones personal account on spotify Im told " This User Can't Be Followed. You've Reached The Follower Limit"

Does this only happen when you try to follow a personal account or even with artist accounts?

Have you tried any troubleshooting steps so far such as logging out > back in twice in a row? It sounds a bit odd, but resyncs you account and the device you're using. To take it a step further you can even give Spotify a clean reinstall which often helps resolve different performance issues.

Let us know if the same behavior persists in the Web Player and on another device.

I can follow artists, but I'm unable to follow profiles, some 'maximum reached'-message appears
