Windows 10 mobile constant reload

Windows 10 mobile constant reload

Spotify app version 5.1.5529

Windows 10 mobile latest public update in Sweden. Microsot Lumia 950 phone.

The spotify app starts and loads my playlist, withing 2-3 seconds it reloads with the dimmed screen and the reload text center of screen.

I can start a song, 3 seconds, it starts to reload, 5-10 seconds later it stops, I start a song, 3-4 seconds later it starts to reload.

I leave it alone and it can start and stop the reloading over and over again.

This happens regardless of wireless or 3G connectivity with full reception.

Have uninstalled and reinstalled the app.

Have logged out and in again.

Have a playlist of 120 albums, perhaps 1500 songs in total.

If I diconnect the wireless and data connectivity, it stops the reload and I can start to play off-line. Switch back the connectivity and sometimes I can get it to work normal.

Anyone else with this increadibly anoying thing?

Any updates coming our way?

Hi @shahramk,

Please try unistalling, rebooting and installing again.

Join the long, fruitless queue...

Thanks Rodrige, I uninstalled and re-installed. Just for the fun of it ... I will do it right now to see if there is a difference and will let you know.

Well, uninstalled, restarted, installed and logged in. Still the same behavior. Restarted again and no change. In case anyone from the spotify team is interested I could record the behavior or provide more HD/SW information. As of now, the app is useless.

Having the same problem . this is a really **bleep** site. There is no **bleep**ing help at all , which is the most annoying thing so going to front up at their offices in London next week and hopefully knock one of the cunts out.

You ment knock the *bleep*s out. I love the content of the music. Hate the windows app. They kind of didn't tested in real life. Just in the labs I think.

Hey,

In this case I suggest you get in touch with Spotify's Support team.

https://www.spotify.com/about-us/contact/contact-spotify-support/

If you get an automated reply, reply back to it even if it says 'do not reply'.

They usually get back to you within 24-48 hours.

I hope it helps!

Thanks will do!

It really won't help at all... there is no evidence whatsoever that Spotify are commited to a Windows 10 Phone update cycle or tackling the most basic of the application's issues. Despite the deluge of comments here on this board, there hasn't been a single response directly from Spotify over the problems which is presumably an avoidance of admission. They charge for a knowingly botched app.

the link didn't work, will try to find the contact page ... I would expect support for platinum users, right?

Hey @shahramk, sorry for the broken link.

Here's the right one.

I have sent in the complaint, got a reply back, not an automated one! Hopefully, they will be able to replicate and do something about it.
I got a month of Microsoft Groove to try. If no change, I'll stick with Groove I think.

Good news then 🙂

Let me know what you think about this Microsoft service.

The exact same problem, in mobile Windows 8.1. Tried reinstalling and all.
