Windows Phone 8.1 app, v4.0.1.0 - why aren't there parades and confetti about this?

The first time I didn't hear it, I didn't even notice.  The second time I didn't hear it, I thought I had to be wrong.  So I tried again - and again - and again - and I STILL didn't hear the gaps between songs that ought not to have gaps between them.

That filter-swept white-noise pad that straddles tracks 4 and 5 of _Wish You Were Here_?  Unbroken.

That panicked screaming that suddenly turns into a mellow groove on tracks 1 & 2 of _Dark Side of the Moon_?  Seamless.

Gapless playback?  Check.
