Windows screen unlock results in Spotify endlessly skipping songs

My Question or Issue

When my screen goes black for screen lock, unlocking the screen (moving the mouse and display turns back on) results in whatever I was playing stopping, and then the Spotify client skips to the next song, then the next song, until after a hundred or so skipped songs the client stops playing anything. Can restart the playlist manually. 

Also, FYI, you guys don't have very good labels for issues. No "Microsoft" or "Windows" labels...

Thanks for reaching out about this.

As a first step, we recommend running a clean reinstall of the desktop app by following the steps here. This will make sure any corrupted files from previous installations will get removed.

If the issue persists, try downloading the desktop app directly from the Spotify website and let us know how it works.

In case the same happens, if possible, try using a different connection, like another WiFi network or a mobile hotspot.
