With Android update, problems playing Discover Weekly on my Sonos speakers

My Question or Issue

With the new Android 9 update, playing Discover Weekly on my phone still works fine; however, there are two issues playing Discover Weekly on my Sonos speakers: (1) when I reject a track, the new reject button turns red, and Spotify does not move on to the next track, and (2) there is now a long lag moving the volume control from the phone to the Sonos speakers. Please advise.
