there was a ad on a survey on here saying i can get 1 month of premium for doing a survey

I got the 1 month free I'm pretty sure, after doing the survey, some weeks ago, or so. I got free premium, I'm using it atm and it works perfectly fine!

Spotify often sends out surveys to measure usage and interest of customers in new offers. These surveys may be sent through in-app or email messages and you need to follow the instructions included in the note were you first received the survey to redeem the compensation connected to it. If you are not sure about the legitimacy if the survey, take a look here
