i have been using spotify for the last 2 hours no issues and then im greeted with a message saying i have to enable the web player in my browser so i go to the support site download the right file needed but then get the message its not applicable
but now spotify wont work and just keeps saying i have to enable to web player etc....

Edge has a rather hidden setting in its Advanced Settings which needs to be enabled. It's a switch for "Let sites to save protected media licenses on this device".
The media pack is only eligible for specific kind of Windows licenses.
However, the web player doesn't seem to work right now, for me either. Spotify is aware of it and is working on a fix 🙂
