I live in Ukraine, where the fighting is taking place and I'm wondering when I listen to music on spotify, do Russian artists get paid for what I listen to? I know that spotify is not active in Russia at the moment, but there are Russian performers on the list. As a consumer, I wonder if the authors get paid for what I listen to?

In my opinion it makes absolutely no sense and shows that spotify does not really care about what's happening so I would recommend to stop listening to russian music on spotify
