greyed out songs can be played for others but not me?

But it is greyed out for me, even though my friends can play this on their Spotify with no issues? Both of us are on Spotify Premium.

We want all the world’s music and podcasts on Spotify, but availability can vary over time and between countries, depending on the permissions from rights holders.

Could it be possible that your friends have an account from a different region?

It seems it is indeed the region, I am in Hong Kong. I have now noticed
this with another album here:

Both the previous album and this one are released by JYP Entertainment,
does Spotify have the rights to these for Hong Kong? It's very strange as I
have other albums & artists from JYP Entertainment on Spotify with no issue
- even those artists above, I can see their albums from a few months ago
but this latest one is greyed out. Can you give me some details on which
rights Spotify currently holds for HK?

Not all the music from a given record company will be available within a certain region.

While we cannot provide information about all the music that is available in Hong Kong, if an album or track is greyed out in your region, then this means that they are currently not available.

Make sure to check back, since we are always making new music available on Spotify 🙂
