iPod sync for premium

Hi, I have an iphone but am struggling for memory so want to sync my ipod nano to spotify, also it is smaller for carrying around in pocket when out and about.  I read you could do this without the app, you would loose all your itunes music off it, which is fine, but I cant find anywhere the button to sync devise.  Is this an old feature and no longer available does anyone know?  Would I have to purchase an ipod touch to use spotify? Thanks

Well sorry but without the application You Cant use spotify. So you Need To Download the app in the App Store and the iPod nano doesnt have App Store i think 😕
