Solved!

sharing profile/playlist from winphone 10

Hi all,

I hope you passed some nice and peacefull christmas days.

I'm using spotify on Desktop and smartphone. Both running with Windows 10.

I want to share my playlists and my profile with a friend. Unfortunately I couldn't find an explication how to do from my smartphone with win 10. I hope you can give me hints or a workaround, Thanx in advance

Regards

Olav

Hey @oj20220

I'm also having a Windows Phone, a slightly older version tho. :')

I figured out how to share a playlist, but not profile. But since the playlist shared will carry your username in it, it's possible for your friends to click on it and end up in your profile.

Open your playlist and click on the three dots on upper right.

Click on 'Share', and choose whatever path you wish.

Note: it apparently is not an URI, it's a simple webpage url. It's easy to get a link to your profile from it. See:

This is the playlist's address.

http*s*://open.spotify.com/user/1185903410/playlist/6YAnJeVC7tgOiocOG23Ddp
This is the address to your profile.

http*s:*//open.spotify.com/user/1185903410
So when you copy the link and paste it for your friends, you can delete the '/playlist/6YAnJeVC7tgOiocOG23Ddp' part. 🙂

(I added asterisks in the links so that the board won't turn them into play buttons)

If you have more questions, feel free to ask! 🙂

Happy holidays!

Hi Seb, thanks a lot for your answer. Please excuse the delay answering but I had to pass some time in a hospital. Meanwhile I found also that solution and it works. I remember an older installation where I gave my daughter in louisiane the possibility to follow me. couldn't refind this point. Perhaps the App is changed or maybe I'm too old or too blond. However, a solution was found. Again thanx a lot.
