webplayer does not play music anymore

I'm a bit desperate, because suddenly the spotify web player stopped working. I've premium and enjoyed it. But now I don't know how to solve this problem.

In fact the webplayer "works", there are no error messages. But when I press the play button, nothing happens. No error, just nothing. No music. I tried Chrome and Firefox. In Firefox I see "waiting for lon-splient.spotify.com" or ""transferring data from lon-splient.spotify.com". But that's all. I have no other problems with my laptop, audio works well.

i'm having the same problems.  i'm using a chromebook and the only way to have spotify on it is to use the webplayer.  the webplayer looks normal but the play, rewind, and ff buttons are all grayed out and unfunctional.  and of course, music won't play at all.  

i've sent a message to spotify support but i have not received a reply.  i've tried putting in a plugin of spotify but that didn't fix it.  it's been like this for over a week.  i hope they can fix this issue asap.
