A soft, calm, indie, jazz, folk playlist to concentrate, relax or contemplate to 🙂
@anoushagaia sunrise by norah jones is actually perfect (sighs)
and step is one of my favourite songs of all time (screaming that live was so. good.)
it continues with beautiful tracks throughout, too many favourites to list!
tips: the norah jones, head and the heart, milky chance, wilco, elliot smith, tracy chapman, mumford tracks etc. are perhaps too close to each other
some of the songs are debatably indie (like ed sheeran, john mayer, elton john) - there's perhaps another playlist in here of soft pop
Great playlist!!!
My personal favourite is cigarette daydreams. I have a playlist a lot like yours, perfect for a late night drive, would love if you could give it a listen!

Thanks!
Listening to it now 🙂
Thank you!
I must admit my knowledge of what is "indie" and what is not is pretty bad.
@anoushagaia it's not about getting it right or wrong for me, just about helping perfect the playlist ^_^ it's certainly open to interpretation!
indie comes from independent, which used to mean unsigned (independent of a major record label) - now it's come to encompass anything outside of the mainstream with an innovative approach. so, whether, the artist themselves goes on to receive critical acclaim, now, it describes more broadly a non-traditional way of producing and creating. it feels like the artist had full creative control over the work, uncensored, and because of that is usually less polished.
so there are some bands like The Arctic Monkeys that had indie albums, and now have a less independent sound (like on the album AM)
ed sheeran is contentious, because his original work (especially the lesser known tracks) have a definite personal, indie vibe, his later work is so produced and at times formulaic, that it loses its indie quality.
Hey I check out you playlist and I absolutely loved it, especially the fact that you added oasis and paper kites was a plus point for me. I have a playlist which is very similar to yours. Do check it out and follow as it is updated regularly on a daily basis.
Once again great playlist!
