Wanted to share one of my modern psychedelic rock playlists.  Huge fan of The Black Angels, The Warlocks, The Blue Angel Lounge, Holy Wave and Thee Oh Sees.  Hope you like.

Hi,

Here is one track: https://open.spotify.com/track/5tqmE9ic7q5AshDTwvaobM?si=2DRkGWMBTwStQjWYkXLkNg&utm_source=copy-link

It is in my progressive rock playlist:

There are some other tracks too which are psychedelic rock. In my opinion those genres are sometimes pretty near each other.

Thanks for sharing these great psychedelic rock playlists and tracks, everyone!

@thesoundsoflola “Some Other Time” sounds quite impressive; is this your music project? If so, congrats on the release!

@LawryPopson That’s awesome that you like the band Spiralmaze! I have a couple tracks from their Dunes of Dorlmeus album in my psychedelic- and progressive rock playlists, since I agree that they fit in both of these genres. I appreciate you sharing this track from their Back to the Center album, as I hadn’t got around to listening to this release, but I’m currently listening and think it’s great!

I’d also say that Spiralmaze sound quite similar to another of my favorite psychedelic/progressive rock bands, Ozric Tentacles. Speaking of which, I see that you have the track “Wherble” from Ed Wynne’s solo album in your playlist as well, and I wanted to mention that it’s one of my favorites from this highly underrated album, too.

Cheers!

It sure is! I hope that wasn't too shameless, thank you though!

@Brnchild Thanks for sharing this cool alternative rock playlist! However, this thread is specifically about the psychedelic rock genre; are there any songs, or another playlist, you’d fancy sharing that represent psychedelic rock music in particular?

@thesoundsoflola That’s awesome; congrats on your new single! Also, I thought I’d mention that the Spotify Community has an ongoing project called "Artists Wanted: Share Your Talent With The Community,” where artists can submit an original song of theirs and introduce themselves, possibly being featured in a Community Blog. If it sounds of interest, you can read more about the project in the current submissions thread here.

Cheers!

Ahh thank you so much! I'll be sure to check that out!

Hi,

@TreyAnastasio, thank you for your message and nice to hear that we like the same bands and artists. I'm not entirely sure anymore where I found both Spiralmaze and Ed Wynne, but I think I found them from Progarchives forum/site.

I started to follow your playlist too. It might be useful for me if I need to find new music to my own playlist at some point.
