The Sixties : 1967

Hi my name is Fred

I have a mission : that is to create a large music library on spotify with playlists per year based on what songs were in the charts that year.

Good or bad songs, it doesn’t matter. If it is in the charts of that year, it’s in de playlist of that year.

The playlists from 1957 – 1964 will be based on the monthly charts of the (not existing anymore) dutch magazine ‘Muziek Parade’.

The playlists from 1965 till now, will be based on the charts of ‘De Nederlandse Top 40’.

I already created playlists for 1964 – 1966.

I just created playlist ‘The sixties : 1967’

In it are the songs at position 1-10 of the first week of 1967. I will add songs about every day till all songs that have been up in the chart that year are in it.

Enjoy

FreddyAxe.

I’m kind of surprised that Pink Floyd’s The Piper at the Gates of Dawn wasn't in the Top 10 in 1967; but I guess they weren’t very popular yet, as it was their debut album

Hi TreyAnastasio,

In 1967 they don't have a song that will end up in the dutch Top 40 chart.

The first songs of them in The Dutch Top 40 chart are in 1971 : Arnold Layne / If.

So they will end up in the playlist of that year.

Have Fun,
