Disable podcasts on child account

It is absurd that Spotify decided to make an ocean of adult, racist, suicidal, depressive and misogynistic content available to our kids.

We subscribed to get access to a music library, not more YouTube/TikTok sludge. I’m surprised no legal action has been taken against this, especially in the EU.

Please offer a “disable podcasts” option immediately, this has been asked by thousands of parents for the last 2-3 years. I’ve been moving our house to Apple Music as much as possible because of this.

100% agree. Spotify are not protecting child users. 1) The explicit content option should be password protected. Children can simply turn it off when they are on their device. This is not acceptable. 2) The option to disable podcasts is imperative for children's online safety. 3) Spotify need to give staggered access to their content similar to how films and TV shows are rated U/PG/12/15/18. Currently Spotify offer on only the Children's account which has graphics and content only attractive to a young child e.g. age 7 and under.

+1 here, it is shameful that they haven’t got this option.

We’ve found a GitHub third party hack to stop it on a pc, but doesn’t work on a tablet.

Son has found podcasts by Ryth, which is terrible content for a child.
