Podcast of The Year - Spotify Podcasts Community Awards

Here we are on the other side of the New Year. With our resolutions soundly in place, it's time to return to life as usual. Before you open up your email and get to work, however, let's review how we wrapped up the year as a community.

First, you told us all of your favorite Podcasts. That was awesome.

Then, you all voted on your favorites and we found the collective best podcasts of 2021 across 10 territories. That, too, was awesome.

But there's still something missing...What was the Spotify Podcast Community's Best of the best? What was our 1 single favorite podcast of the year?

Well, across all categories, we were able to find the top 3 pods that you all voted for the most. A few things went into consideration in this decision-- which shows received the most votes in their categories? Which shows swept their categories? Which shows brought the most people to come vote in the community?

Drum Roll, please.

After running the numbers, we've found the shows that we think you enjoyed the most. Let's kick off with the second runner-up.

The Daily

(Love TED talks, but do they really need a daily podcast?)

Slim pickings competition-wise. Seriously though, who/what the **bleep** are these other pods? www.networthplanet.com

Great

“I like the freedom of podcasting. With podcasting, you can really mess around with the form and the format. You can do as much time as you like without having to pause for commercials.”
