STOP advertising in podcastst for Premium subscribers

When users pay for a Premium subscription they should not have to suffer advertising in podcasts.

I’d even go at saying podcasts should be separate from music. I don’t want to be pelted with podcast on the main page.

I totally agree. In fact, I listen the "Aquí hay dragones" podcast and now I suffer an ad telling me that in Amazon Prime music I can listen that podcast without ads!

Como no encontré un correo en donde enviar mi desacuerdo con SPOTIFY al respecto de los ANUNCIO en los PODCAST, el servicio que pago de $129.00 pesos era para no tener anuncio, no tenia problemas con los anuncios al principio del PODCAS o al final de el. sin embargo SI MOLESTA el hecho de que en medio del audio se presenten los ANUNCIO. así que como no tengo forma de ENTERARLOS de esta molestia el HECHO es simple, ELIMINA LA CUENTA. si no te gusta ADIOS, totalmente entendible, ASI QUE SPOTIFY gracias por todo este tiempo.

For music it says on https://community.spotify.com/t5/Ongoing-Issues/Premium-users-hearing-ads-in-music/idi-p/6698887 that this issue is fixed.

Why isn't this fixed for Premium users listening to podcasts?

I've been in touch with Spotify Support about ads in podcasts, because I noticed that podcasts from a creator that I have been listening to since the year 2021, now have pre-roll and mid-roll ads injected in them that were not there previously.

Support said this is correct and to be expected. They claimed that the ads had been put there by the creator.

That seems difficult to believe as when I listened now to an old podcast that I first listened to in 2021 when it was ad-free, it now has a pre-roll ad (in this case for Shopify). Also the ads depend on the geolocation, so if I use VPN to make it look like I am connected to Internet from a different country, then I get different ads, even in a different language.

I hope that Spotify will change their policy for Premium subscribers and stop putting their ads into podcasts that were not put there by podcast creators. I was unfortunately unable to convince Spotify Support that there was anything wrong or that anything needed to be changed. ☹️ If this can't be put into the existing Premium plan, then at least offer some sort of Premium add-on plan that includes add-free podcasts.

I guess, strictly speaking, Spotify Support is right, as they only specify ad-free music listening, not ad-free podcast listening.
