Turn Videos & Podcasts Off

Hey Daniel EK. Stop giving kids videos. We don't want them watching Youtube, but that is what Spotify is now, because all the YT and TikTok videos are now listed as pod casts.

I know you want to make money, but I don't want kids watching video, much less the garbage on here. Give parents a way to turn off the videos.

Hey friend, I don’t have much to comment on regarding the context but to fix your issue:

— find your settings tab 

— look for ‘data saver’ 

— you should see an option to ‘stream audio only’ 

pick that one. There’s a few other options RE/ video podcast decisions as well 🙂

Only turns off video on cell, want it always off. Kids devices only have
wifi.

So is there no way that I can control access to video content? I would like my kids to be able to listen to music on their phones, but had to take away the whole app because I can't restrict video content. Spotify, please help!

Thousands of people are with you, letting a fourteen year old watch **bleep** podcasts is also highly illegal

I don't understand why they don't care.

This is the last month they steal from me I'm personally not paying for YouTube Mark two.

Agreed but they clearly don't care, Spotify however say you can't restrict anything for your children at fourteen but allow po.rn this is super illegal, I'm reporting them to all the trading standard boards I can find, maybe this will give us the function we all need to actually continue using the app.
