Your Weekly Roster: Honoring the Iconic John Madden

December 28th, 2021 will be forever known as the day we lost the football legend and cultural icon, John Madden. 

For many, the name Madden has been synonymous with perhaps the greatest sports video game of our lifetime. Generating over $7 billion in revenue since its first release, becoming the most coveted gaming cover annually and even generating a "curse" along the way, Madden NFL has become more than simply a video game but more like a community.

John Madden is much more than just the name on a video game, still. Winning a Super Bowl as head coach of the Oakland Raiders with a career record of 103-32-7 (.759 winning percentage, the 2nd highest ever), are just a few reasons he landed in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2006.

Perhaps the greatest sports color commentator to ever do it, which many would argue! John Madden made football commentary fun and digestive to every type of fan while adding in catchphrases like "Boom" & "Pow", all which we still use today!

Huge loss in the NFL community with the recent passing of John Madden.

Now i must say that my favorite game so far in the last week was the game between the rams and the vikings. The punt return from Brandon Powell was insane and was definitely one of the highlights of week 16.
