404 on Premium Family invite page

My Issue

Just switched to Premium Family and trying to invite family members.  However, the Premium Family page is stuck on the three dots loading animation. Using Firefox 73.

 

Web trace shows a 404 on the GET call to https://www.spotify.com/us/home-hub/api/v1/family/home/

 

Things I have already tried which didn't work:

  • Sign out and in
  • Incognito Window
  • Different Browser (Edge)
  • Mobile page loading eventually says to Try Again

I have the exact same problem, i just signed into the Premium family plan... If you dont fix this i might cancel and go to Apple Music.

I have tried all 3 of the things above, including clicking that link you posted. 

 

This is what shows up when you click the link: 

{"code":"NOT_FOUND","detail":"Home not found."}

 

Still doesn't work. Only the 3 dots that keep blinking. I'm trying to add my spouse to my family plan.

Thanks for reaching out to us.

 

Just to confirm, do you get the same issue if you give it a try on a different network?

 

If you've recently updated to the Family plan, it's also worth checking the the status of your subscription here.

 

If you see that you've successfully updated to Spotify Premium Family, you can click on the Premium Family tab on the left of the page to see if you'll be able to send the invitation.

 

In case your issue persists, can you send us a screenshot of what you see when you're trying to invite your spouse to the plan? Just make sure you hide any sensitive info.

Same problem here. Will soon terminate Spotify if they keep this up.

@jbherold thanks for sharing the screenshot with us. Looking at it, it appears that you're not yet subscribed to Premium Family - that's why the page won't load. Can you check your subscription status or your last receipts and confirm what plan you are on?

 

@tonyhjoston could you try logging in to your account page first and then selecting the Premium Family tab from the menu on the left side to see if that makes a difference? If not, it'd be great if you could also send over a screenshot so we can see what's what.

 

On Android it's also possible to manage your Family plan from within the Spotify App > Settings > Account > Plan management.

 

Keep us in the loop and don't hesitate to ask if you have any other questions.

Thanks for sharing the screenshot @tonyhjoston,

 

We've made some changes beginning of this month affecting Premium Family users subscribed through our partner Telia in Sweden. It appears there's been an issue switching your plan to our New Premium Family. In this case, it's best to reach out to Telia directly to remove your existing subscription and add a new one, which should set everything straight again.

Telia say they can't do anything about this, I should talk to you.
I will contact Telia to terminate this service, since I'm moving over to Apple Music.

Just keep in mind that since you're paying through a partner for Premium, we wont be able to make any changes to your subscription on our end.

Telia responded and moved my account to the "new" plan.
And yet, there is the same problem as before. AND now all family members is moved from premium to FREE and I can't do anything about it.

I have mailcontact with tech-support, 1 st line would be my guess because 2nd and 3rd can solve this while I drink a cup of coffee.
