My Question or Issue
I have 5 members in my Amazon Household.
I have 5 Profiles in my Spotify Family Plan.
Everyone has their own Echo Device.
I am certain there must be some way for each of us to be listening to our own profile simultaneously.
For example - when I say "Alexa, play Led Zeppelin" my Echo Devices are all set to Spotify as the Default so they reply:
"Shuffling Songs by Led Zeppelin on Peter's Spotify"
There must be a way for my daughter Mia - who has her own Spotify Profile and her own Echo dot to say:
"Alexa, shuffle songs by Billie Eilish"
And then have it reply:
"Shuffling songs by Billie Eilish on Mia's Spotify"
And thus - we can be in 2 separate rooms on 2 separate devices and both choosing our own music.
But I need specific steps -- I'm not smart enough to follow otherwise.
Can someone please help?
Thanks a million in advance.

So I have been reading loads of forums and am really confused about the family plan/Alexa. For the answers on the other forums it says to create a Amazon/Alexa Household - this however can only have 2x adult accounts.
I have 3 children each with their own Alexa devices. I see Amazon US can add Teen accounts however in the UK I can only have child accounts and as such no linking email address to each device.
How can I get 5 Spotify Family accounts to play on 5 seperate Alexa devices?
Do I have to have 1x Spotify family & 1x Amazon account on each device.
If this is he case I presume the household features would not be possible (ie drop in etc) as the devices will be signed in to seperate accounts?
I have the same problem here. Amazon can't seem to figure out how to implement this in a sensible way. Really sad. I bought 3 Alexa devices and am now considering sending them back.
Agreed. I ended up having to create a separate Amazon account disconnected from my family account to allow multiple echos to stream Spotify at the same time. The Alexa app is a flaming piece of garbage.
It's not Amazon at fault - every request that comes in to external services like Spotify can have a token associated with it that represents which of the Amazon family members is making the request.
Spotify however just ignore it because they don't provide any way to associate an Amazon family member with a Spotify family member.
I'm going back to Amazon Music.
Of course it's Amazon's fault. They can decipher different Alexa users by voice, so they can associate each voice with a different Spotify account and provide different tokens to Spotify depending on who is speaking. This is exactly how Google Home works - each individual voice can have its own Spotify account, just as you'd want it to. We're gradually moving over to them for this sole reason.
This DOES NOT WORK! I have an AMAZON household with 2 Profiles. One is ACCOUNT HOLDER and one is aN ADULT PROFILE MEMBER OF MY HOUSEHOLD!! (Im not making an AMAZON ACCOUNT FOR A 10 YEAR OLD!) Each has their own phone number associated with their profile!
Then on SPOTIFY Again I have a FAMILY ACCOUNT WITH 2 PROFILES. One as ACCOUNT HOLDER- and one as ADULT FAMILY PROFILE. Each has their own phone number associated with their profile!
WHY CAN THE ALEXA APP AND AMAZON IDENTIFY A PHONE NUMBER TO A PROFILE and SPOTIFY CAN IDENTIFY A PROFILE BY PHINE NUMBER but ALEXA+ is somehow not friggen smart enough yet to do the.same? I really want to wake up to MY PLAYLISTS FROM MY SPOTIFY and wake my kid up with their own music from their own Spotify profile!!
Come on. Both AMAZON/ALEXA and SPOTIFY work on Household Profiles- why cant ALEXA+ do the same without forcing me to make an amazing account for a damn 10 year old! It is a family/household for a reason!
