Block video contents for Spotify family account owner

You urgently need to introduce an option for the family membership that allows account owners to block video content from kids' accounts.

Spotify did not have a time limit on my daughter's phone, because I want her to be able to listen to music whenever she wishes. But now she is watching video content all day long and I had to restrict access for all Spotify content. Very unsatifying for me and my daughter.

You could easily allow account owners to block these videos, just like you allow them to block explicit content.

I ask for urgent action from Spotify.

We would suggest posting it in our Ideas board, there users can check out your idea and if enough people like how it sounds and give it a like we can forward it internally to be looked into, and possibly implemented!  You can post your idea by following this link.

Agree with this entirely. I have exactly the same problem. Spotify has now become another app I need to monitor. It is very tiresome.

I want my kids to enjoy everything music can offer to a teenage soul without being sucked into the same brain rot videos dominating the internet....  W.T.F~ Spotify.. give the option to disable it on family accounts...

Hello, i am having the same problem. Deleted YouTube kids from my kids devices but they can watch dumb movies on Spotify now. Same as topic starter we don’t want to restrict Spotify with a time limit as we do for all other apps. We want them to enjoy music without tik-tok-like videos.

Agreed 100%. There is no reason Spotify can't add a block video toggle on the primary account. Literally they must be making money on the video because every parent is asking for thos option.

Hello all, has this been sorted? I can't find a way of blocking the vídeos... I'll end up cancelling my subscription and search for an alternative if this doen't change soon... Thanks. Regards.

I quit Spotify for this reason 18 months ago, realizing my kids was watching youtube videos on Spotify while I thought he was listening to music. Has this problem been solved since then ? Or is it still the same ?

it's a shame. To me it's a strategic decision when you want to include youtube videos on your app, made for music. I really don't get why Spotify is not taking that point more seriously.
